Wow, I will admit this news kinda floored me. (Enough to make me come to my poor, neglected blog to post it!)Al Gough and Miles Millar have called it quits as the showrunners for Smallville. Al and Miles created the show 7 years ago and have stood at the helm since then. It will be strange to think of the show without them but they have decided to move on and, really, this could be a good thing for Smallville. Over the last 4 years the storylines have seemed to go nowhere. I've enjoyed this season more than the last 2 or 3 but I think some fresh perspective might be good for the show.
Executive Producers Todd Slavkin, Darren Swimmer, Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson will take over as showrunners next season. It's still strange to think that Al and Miles won't be running things but I guess we'll see how things go.
